The Clearing Traditional Geocache

This cache is located at the Port Hudson Lake Conservation area.  This area has a lot of things to offer.  There is a fishing lake, a handicap accessible dock, pavilion with BBQ grill, and trails.  It's a nice area for a family to have a picnic, to go bird watching or go geocaching.

You are looking for a shiny, large bison tube.  The original contents are a log sheet and a first to find coin for the lucky first cacher.  A short distance of bushwhacking will be necessary.  Once you are close to GZ, you may notice that the canopy is fairly open here.  It allows for a good amount of sunlight to get to the forest floor which creates a small clearing.  In early spring, this area is full of small purple flowers.  It's very pretty.

Parking is located at the lakes parking lot.  The hike to the cache is a fairly easy walk.  You may see some wildlife while in this area and TICKS!!
