I am told that the coords I originally posted
are wrong. THE CORRECT COORDS THAT ACTUALLY MATCH THIS
LOCATION ARE: N42 degrees 26.361' W123 degrees 19.140' Stay
tuned for a page correction. (Thanks DriveAbout!) Basically,
if the place looks like the picture, that is where you are
going. :)
When you get there, look for the kinda-largish woman wearing the
black sequin cap with large gold stars on it. Ya can't miss me
wearing THAT hat. :)
I (Sparrowhawk) am moving away from Portland to Vegas to live in
a beautiful house where I can recover from breast cancer surgery
(already done) and face chemo (upcoming... yuk!) with a supportive
caretaker who lives there.
This event cache will be the first stage of several event caches
along my route to Las Vegas. I plan to take at least 4-5 days to
get there, with a different event cache scheduled each at certain
cities and towns along the route to collect travel bugs, see the
best "wow, didn't know THIS was here!" types of caches and say
hello to fellow cachers.
Here is my plan so far. I want to establish event caches at each
stop along the way, one day per stop. I intend to exchange TBs with
cachers at each of these locations:
* Portland (GC15K87) to Grant's Pass, OR (HERE!)
* Grants Pass to Sacramento, CA (GC15Z2C)
* Sacramento, CA to Reno, NV
* Reno, NV to Las Vegas NV
Sounds like a plan? I hope so. :)
Bring some bugs, eat some great pizza (wow, you Southern
Oregonians have better pizza than anywhere here in Portland!) and
have a great time! BRING TBs!
