The second event of what is hoped to become a bi-monthly roving event for the Coventry and Warwickshire cachers that was borne out of a discussion had at Superteds – Saying Goodbye to the Coventry Pub Sign Cache.

Having held the inaugural meet in the extreme north-west of the county this second meeting is to be held in a more central location, Kenilworth.

The Virgins and Castle is a famous landmark on the Coventry side of Kenilworth. It appears in the Good Beer Guide 2010, and serves food on weekday evenings.

It is a large pub, with a number of small rooms. We'll probably meet in one of the small rooms off to the right when you enter the pub.

At the time of writing, there are ten caches within a mile radius of the event. It is hoped that there may be more by the date of the event. There are also several other decent pubs nearby, if people want to explore the drinking opportunities before or after the event.

There is limited parking outside the pub, and the Abbey Fields public car park just around the corner on Bridge Street.

Meet at the pub at about 7.30pm.

So sorry I couldn't make but it clashed with the briefing for the Kenilworth castle fireworks display which I hope you all enjoyed. On the whole I'd have rather been out in the dark looking for caches than studying Health & Safety risk assessments!

Will be at the next one, sounded like a good night

Thanks to Old NIck Cov for a great evening.
Arrived late after work and missed the caches but had a great time meeting and chatting.I tried to say hi to everyone but must have missed a few so sorry about that.
Will try to find a sufficiently big cache in Slovakia at end of month to move Orca TB on.

Many thanks to OldNickCov for organising this event and for everyone making us welcome. It was the first social gathering of cachers we have attended and were not quite sure what to expect. It was nice to put faces to names that we have seen in log books. We were given some excellent advice by several experienced cachers which is really helpfull. The hint for solving "Formidable Forage" will keep us awake for weeks! Thanks again .
