This is an easy cache just off I-15 between Las Vegas and Mesquite.

To get to this cache you will need to hike 100 miles across the Nevada desert. Or, you can drive to mile marker 100 on I-15, exit the interstate at exit 100, drive east on a dirt road a few hundred feet, then walk a few hundred feet to the cache.

You will know you have reached the area if you pass the foundation of an abandoned gas station that stood along the Old Salt Lake Highway.

Please don’t drive RIGHT up to the cache. There are plenty of well established roads that will get you to within a few hundred feet. This is an easy cache and any walking is across flat desert. Please keep tire tracks away from the cache site.

If you find the three piles of rusted twisted metal shown below, you can walk for about 350’ at 170º and you will find the cache. Again we ask, please don’t make new roads to the site.

The cache is the standard OD green ammo box.

There were several sets of tire tracks right to this one. We walked from near the pile of old cans and junk. Maybe we just did not look hard enough but we did not see the piles of twisted metal? maybe we parked to far away or to close??? Roads everywhere out here!!! t scrat and left a magnetic binder clip. TFTC Lots of history around here!!
