This is the first of three Elk Lake geocaches. Elk lake is just west of Mount Bachelor, out of Bend Oregon. I suggest you bring a boat of some sort (kayak, canoe, fishing boat). There are many nice campgrounds in the area, so take the whole weekend and the family and go camping!
This geocache, along with the other three, is in a small tupperware container wrapped in black electrical tape, with a blue lid. There is a road nearby the cache site, but I'm not sure what it comes to/from. Best access is from a boat. You'll find the cache at the base of a fallen tree. Don't be stumped by the other fallen trees around it...
If you don't have a boat - The caches should be able to be accessed by roads, or atleast get you close to them. You can rent boats at Elk Lake resort, or the Powder House in Bend.
