Geocache Description:

*Stick to the rivers and lakes that your used to was just to dang long.

Steep and slippery and definitely not for the faint of heart. Elevation is 1650' at the top of this, and 1400' at the bottom.

Top of the Falls

Most all of Weyerhaeuser Timberlands are now walk-in-ONLY! sorry. Best Parking Coords: N 46 32.581 W 123 36.934. . It is also closed during severe fire danger. If you try this cache during the week, be aware of log truck traffic.font> *The cache is now accessible year 'round. Only attempt this cache if you are in good physical health. This cache is not for children. This cache is very difficult. To make it to the final cache location you will face grades at or near vertical. Walls of salmon berries. And a dense maze of devils clubs. You will climb over slippery rocks and logs. And lastly, you no longer have to get completely wet in order to retrieve the cache container. Now you're asking yourself "why would I be dumb enough to go after that cache"? You'll just have to go there to find out. And anyone who listened to pop music in the 90's already knows what lies at the end of the cache. Even though I am giving a step-by-step guide on where to park to get to the final location, I am still maxing out the stars for both difficulty and terrain. You should also bring the following: A good pair of hiking boots, and gloves. A cell phone in case of emergency. (You should get good reception). You might want to bring a change of cloths. I would advise against trying this cache alone. By no means try this one at night. Plan for 1 hour in, and 1 hour out.

  • Ok you still want to go:
  • 1st: Take the Forks Creek A-line off highway 6
    N 46* 33.622 W 123* 35.612 (ele 130 ft.)
  • 2nd: Take the D-line off of the A-line
    N 46* 30.992 W 123* 32.150
  • 3rd: Park here=
    N 46* 29.540 W 123* 31.262 (ele 1400 ft.)

I know this cache will scare away a lot of people. I discovered this spot about 3 years ago and fell in love with it. I go every summer, when I can talk someone into going with me. I am planing another trip back in summer of 2003. So anyone who is interested in finding this cache, but isn't quite sure about the terrain, is welcome to go with me. And if there is enough people, we'll make an informal-event cache out of it. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to e-mail me. Just be afraid of the cache. Just kidding.

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[The new container is now located in a plunder free spot, and will survive the coming winter. At the old coord's look to your left. You will see boulders that go up hill. The cache is up there. check out the spoiler pics.]
