How Geocaching Works
The above coordinates are not the real location of this cache!
You must first solve the Kakuro puzzles below to obtain the coordinates for this cache. Plug in the appropriate numbers from the puzzles below. The real coordinates are:
N 41 AB.CDE
W 93 FG.HIJ
A Kakuro puzzle is similar to a SuDoKu, in that it only uses the digits 1 thru 9, and a number may only appear once in each set. But it works like a crossword because the number above the slash tells you the sum across, and the number below the slash tells you the sum down.
These two puzzles should only have one possible solution, but make sure you are in the general Des Moines area before you start hunting.
You may email me your solution, and I will verify it for you, but I don't know how quick my response will be. Better yet, you can use this handy coordinates verification process, which can verify your answer without contacting me:

It has come to my attention that some people may be "cheating". I can't do anything about this, but keep in mind that these puzzles are designed to test your brain, not some computer program. I would ask that the "cheaters" wait at least a week to do this cache, to give the real puzzlers out there a chance for the FTF. Thankyou.
For those that care, it is a handicap-accessable cache, with no bushwhacking involved. You do not need to leave the paved pathway to retrieve the cache.
