Geocache Description:

Disguised cache in derelict location

This cache is situated in an area that is frequented by dog-walkers, MTB bikers, walkers and graffiti artists (as you will see near the cache site). So care is required when searching for the cache.

The area is adjacent to the old Ironworks of Stanton. The area is generally abandoned, with many signs of old heavy industry - concrete pipes and iron strewn around the place. However there is also signs of nature "reasserting" itself with marsh land and much greenery overlapping the original paths.

The cache is too small to hold any TB or geo-coins.

The only tip I will give - is come prepared in terms of hand protection and/or hand washing facilities!!!

Parking and walking from Sowbrook Lane is an option. Alternatively, parking in Stanton Village and walking down from the many footpaths is also an option.
