Welcome to the Fourth Annual Lake D'Arbonne Saturday in the Park
Event page. The North Louisiana Geocachers Association is hosting
our fourth event and cordially invite all cachers, both new and
experienced, to come enjoy a laid back, fun day with us. The main
event will be fellowship but we also have games planned for those
who would like to participate, door prizes and an Easter egg hunt
for the kids.
Because of its popularity, number of caches and generous support
of the park management, this year's event will, once again, be held
at Lake D'Arbonne State Park, 3628 Evergreen Rd., Farmerville, LA
71241. This beautiful park in the wooded hills of Union Parish
offers campsites, cabins, fishing, boating, biking, tennis,
playgrounds, & other amenities. There are several hiking/biking
trails, so bring a bike if you want to. Best of all, there are 24
caches within the park, including a Wherigo cache, and several more
just outside of its boundaries.
The listed coords are for Pavilion 2, where the festivities will
officially begin at 10 A.M. We will be serving hotdogs, frito pies,
nachos and drinks. If your caching name begins with a number or A -
M bring a side dish (this can be chips if you like.) If your
caching name begins with an N - Z bring a dessert.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone there. Please post if
you plan to attend and if possible, let us know how many children
will be with you so we can make sure to provide enough for
everyone. See you there.
