Geocache Description:

This is a micro-cahce. It is hided in a tree-stump in a park which is quite popular among the residents of the surrounding housing estate blocks. It means that the area is always busy, and the cahce(r) is endangered by muggles.

The chapel (N 47° 25,991' E 19° 10,532' 113m) is the only one older building of the wider area. Worth to see inside. It was built in 1760, in baroque style. It is still in use. Mass is held at 8:00 a.m. on every Sundays. It can be open on weekdays, but randomly, if the caretaker is around. (He goes to the chapel every morning – as he told.)
In 1814, after the defeat of Napoleon, the vanquishing leaders held a conference in Vienna. They also held a military parade on this very area. A view tower was raised on the top of the nearby hill, from where the Prussian, Russian and Habsburg rulers watched the parade. Alas the tower was ruined by WWII.

About the 18th district of Budapest:
The area has been populated around the first millennium already, but the first written mention is from 14th century. The area emptied during the Ottoman reign. The re-population started from the early 1700s.
The 18th district was formed on 1st of January, 1950 from two settlement: Pestszentlorinc and Pestszentimre. There are around 100.000 permanent residents in the district. Its population density is 2467 per km2 (2001). Its area is 38,61 km2, its length and width is 8-8 km equally.
It is a suburban residential area with nice houses and gardens, mixed with housing estates, and very few industrial areas.
Budapest's international airport (Ferihegy Airport), the Hungarian Meteorological Service and the Central Atmospheric Institute are located here.
