Geocache Description:

[ENG]Last Battle Before Tallinn
"...it was September 1944. It was the time, when every self-respecting schoolboy had accoutered himself with a weapon he could carry, found on a battle-field. It was a usual schoolday in Rae school. Teachers were teasing students in their usual way. But every schoolday ends sometimes and schoolboys, armed to the teeth, started their daily revenge. The best position to shoot at the school house was a couple of hundred meters farther, on a hill. Having taken their shooting positions and teachers hiding behind the school house, the battle was ready to begin.
But suddenly there was a grumble in the east and soon there were Soviet Army's tanks to be seen on the hill. The tank division was heading to free Tallinn from Nazis. Of course such a target was much more interesting to the schoolboys than some old wooden school house. Anyway, they had shot at school house for quite some time, now it was time to try something more serious.
The tanks got nearer and soon the schoolboys opened fire. That happened unexpectedly to Soviet soldiers. They didn't expect resistance at that place, probably unsufficient information about enemies, they thought. Anyway, the tanks were soon ready to shoot, but still not so quickly that the schoolboys didn't have time to disappear. The tanks shot couple of bombs just in case, packed themselves to continue their mission and soon they were on the way to Tallinn. The enemy was destroyed and now all they had to do, was to free Tallinn..."

That's what local folks can tell you. Nowadays only a few people remember, how it really was. Only few of those schoolboys are still alive. But the school house is still there, together with some bullet holes. The hill, were the boys used to shoot from, is also still there, even an obelisk has been put there. But a bronze plate with engraving about Soviet Army's big victory at this battle, is gone. Evidently some version of truth has been retained in history books, but which kind of truth...

Coordinates given will lead you to the school house, which was the shooting target. You don't have to look for cache near it, it's hidden in the place where the schoolboys used to shoot. A picture with a view of target is here to help you. The picture is taken from the hiding place of cache, not using zoom or any other distorting effects.

See tuli ootamatult Nõukogude sõduritele.

Kuid alles on koolimaja, koos mõnede kuuliaukudega. Alles on küngas, millelt poisikesed tuld andsid, isegi mälestuskivi on sellel künkal. Tõsi küll, kivil olnud pronkstahvel, millel kirjas Nõukogude armee suursaavutus, on viimastel aastatel ajalukku kadunud. Kindlasti on mingi versioon "tõest" säilinud ajalooõpikutes, kuid milline....

Antud koordinaadid juhatavad Sind sihtmärgiks olnud koolimaja juurde. Aaret selle õuelt otsida pole mõtet, see on peidetud kohta, kus koolijütsid koolimaja pihta märki lasid. Abiks on veel pilt vaatega sihtmärgile, see on pildistatud täpselt aarde peidukohast kasutamata zoomi või muid võtteid koha moonutamiseks.
