South Baldy summit and lookout tower
The view from the summit of South Baldy is breathtaking, with the Pend Oreille River winding its way below you to the west and the Selkirk Crest lining the horizon to the east.
The journey up to the summit is best accomplished with a high-clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle (or other off-road vehicle). Once at the top, be sure to take time to absorb the view from the Divide Trail and perhaps enjoy a picnic at the lone table located near the lookout tower.
