You will need sturdy footwear as the terrain is a little rough in places. You will get your feet wet. (Update 2016: no longer! Bridges have been installed to prevent this)
When you reach the starting point co-ordinates (public parking area), you will see a sign board. This has a simple map of the area. Follow the Mangaone Walkway to the next waypoint at the following co-ordinates.

The waypoint is the nearest un-natural landmark although it was once part of a tree. It will be on the left/west side of the track. From this waypoint, the cache can be found at exactly 20.7 metres at a magnetic bearing of 255 degrees. The cache is a large plastic box.
