Geocache Description:

NOTE 8/25/06: WARNING! This area is ACTIVE again with ILLEGAL SMUGGLING.

WARNING! It may be dangerous to go to the area - please do not go alone if you decide to go. I walked in about 2 weeks ago now and walked right up on a dozen ILLEGALS hiding in the wash. That, and 2 coyote cars were parked in the wash on the South side of the dirt road. They were towed by Peoria PD, but the illegals were never found again.... The area is starting to pick up again with "garbage" as well, November may or may not be scheduled as a follow-up clean-up event.

NOTE 5/24/06: We did it! The CITO was a huge success. Thanks to all who came out! What a great day it was, and how proud to be an American. I'm leaving the cache up for a while so you can see the difference our efforts can make. Look for another event in November to finish the job! Thanks to all!

Near Lake Pleasant, Arizona. This is a must-see area for people like us geocachers! It's pretty mind-boggling once you get into the 2-5 legs of the cache. Drive from cache 1 to cache 2 and park there. Rest of the way is walking/hiking. There are several paths, but pick your way carefully. Please don't wear open shoes! Small children should probably not be brought.

What you need to bring:
-A friend
-closed shoes/hiking shoes
-pencil or pen
-you'll probably want your camera

Stealth is highly required on stage 1, especially for geomuggles on wheels!

Stages 2-5 are hidden in a similar fashion to each other - it will be obvious what they are once you get in there - I don't want you having to pick up the wrong thing. You don't have to dig through any of the "items"...

Stage 1 has an info sheet - be sure to get one. If it's empty please let me know and I can email you a copy. If you take the last sheet, please let me know so I can refill them. There are also some small sheets in #5; I can email you copies if there are none. If you attempt to do this cache, but cannot find one of the stages, let me know - I've had three removed before, and I will reset them.

Stage 1 also has the exchange items. I loaded it with some more goodies this weekend.
Encrypted are a hint to #1, and the coordinates to stages 2-5 in case they're removed.

Happy goecaching! Be sure to post your comments when you get back!

Note 1: There is some "spoiling" in the logs! Be sure you want to know before you read them. :)
