This is a beautiful and short walk through a little known area of
the Algarve. The terrain is not tricky and the scenery wonderful.
Leave Lagos on the EN120 and take a right at the sign for
Sargaçal. Follow the road to the top of the hill and take
the first left. Drive the very end of this road. Park the Car in
the empty lot at N37'08.956 W008'41.316. It is a short (15minute)
walk to the site which will take you through a pine forest and over
a dry river bed (not dry in winter but its possible to jump over if
you dont mind your shoes getting a bit muddy).
The Old Dam has been inactive for centuries but if you choose to
continue your walk after you find the cache you will find the most
beautiful valley to walk through.
Small note about cache maintenance: This cache
has been created while I am on vacation at my mothers house. She
will check the cache daily as she walks the dogs past this
site

Tive de esperar que a abundante chuva parasse de cair após o almoço de Natal, para fazer o gostinho aos pés e vir em busca de algumas das caches lacobrigenses que de há muito estavam em lista de espera para serem visitadas.
Já depois do passeio há beira-mar para encontrar a Ovo e a Galinha, vim em direcção a Bensafrim para mais algumas, fazendo um desvio até esta envergonhada ribeira que hoje corria bem caudalosa.
Felizmente consegui levar o cachemobile até escassos 90 metros do GZ, já que da primeira vez, quando o tencionava deixar estacionado à saída da estrada de asfalto, um trio de cachorros mal-humorados insistia em acompanhar-me até à cache, assegurando uma banda sonora de latidos bem chatinha. Mas quando me aventurei de carro pelos trilhos, desistiram da perseguição... certamente a lama era-lhes indigesta TFTC

Partimos à aventura num dia maravilhoso.
Depois de já ter falhado uma vez porque estava já de noite e não tinha lanterna na viatura, voltei hoje com sucesso!
Ao inicio fiquei um pouco descontente da zona, mas depois chegado ao GZ adorei.
O local é muito bonito, e com muita pena minha e da Natureza de certeza, a falta de água é visível. Obrigado por mais esta cache Cumprimentos

Took the high road past the barking dogs but found it after a couple of wrong turns but went back past the pine trees.
