Geocache Description:

This is in an extremely scenic area and on a clear day you can see both the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. There is a decent dirt trail all the way to the Cache. Use the trail head to enter the area located here: N37 19.467 W122 12.290.

You do not need to go off the official designated trail to get to this cache

the official marked OSP (open space preserve) trail veers off of the double track to the right onto single track, keep a lookout for the trail marker

I was hiking through this area and instantly knew that this particular location is cache-worthy. The view is truly awesome. There are seats available so this would make an excellent picnic spot (the name says it all). Why is this particular structure here? Who knows, probably the original land-owner built it before it became public open space. I verified on the map that this particular location is on public property. When I set the waypoint I used a Garmin 60CS WAAS-enabled hooked up to a Glisson powered antenna and was getting an accuracy rating of +/- 14 feet. The cache is an ammo box in the obvious location, please hide it better than you found it. Also, please use the cache-cam to take your picture.
