Samantha's cache is placed a short walk above the Tal-Y-Llyn lake, close to a small waterfall. It was placed by Sam who is seven and the cache was a Christmas present from her Uncle.
Samantha's Nain (Welsh for Grandma) lived by this lake when she was younger. Her Daddy also spent his summers here, playing around these woods with his three brothers.
The cache is off a narrow road which runs along side the lake, you have to pass through a set of road gates (so it is quicker if you have a passenger to jump out and open and close them for you). These are here to keep in the sheep, please close them after you.
You should park at N52'40.385 W003'54.138 (Nice place for a picnic, the children think it is the 2nd best place after Aberdovey beach).
Walk along the road towards the farm passing through the road gates. Turn at the farm gates N52'40.555 W003'53.936 and head up the hill towards the cache. Keep to the left of the path as it can become very wet. (Wellies will be a must at certain times of the year.)
Follow the footpath signs.
After finding the cache we suggest continuing up the path a little to admire the spectacular views of the lake.
