We cache in the San Gabriels so frequently, we thought it befitting to hide one here because these mtns. are so beautiful.

Found this interesting spot just off the highway on a flat area with a stand of pines. We hid a small, well-camoed container. Contents: FTF bracelet; multi-tool; 2 geo-coins; polished stone; George Washington dollar; log book; pencil with pencil sharpener. Please re-hide cache as well or better than you found it. Be sure to trade evenly.

Yes this one took a lot of heat, everything fried in the tin, kinda sad.

Will have to check on this one when the fires calm down up there.

Finally had the opportunity to snag this one. I love these places...you'd never know they were there unless you had a reason to visit.

Looks like there's work being done in the area...there are numerous fire hoses strewn about and piles of dead tree branches. I hope the cache survives.

Maybe I was too much of a newbie last time I was here. I found it quickly this time (once I re-read the hint.)

Thanks for the cache!

my daughter and I were heading home, and she has always wondered about this ridge, great to have a reason to head out there. Fire hoses still set up, they should be pulling them soon.
