The event will be held in a small green in residential Lower Earley, Reading. The green is almost never used after nearby homeowners persuaded the council to ban all ball games here, so lets make some use out of it!
The event will be 20 minutes long and will be in darkness.
When you arrive I will be waiting in the green with a lit pumpkin so you all know its me and not some muggle =D. If arriving by car you can park in one of the nearby streets but please ensure you do not block anyones driveway. The number 12 bus stops very near which you can catch from reading train station if you want to use public transport. It is possible for wheelchair users to come to the event, if you use a wheelchair and want to come i can either change the location slightly to the edge of the green or you could come onto the grass which is flat and has no holes.
The event will be held at 7.40pm-8.00pm. Put the event on your watch list for possible updates. On arrival there will be a log book to sign and hopefully throughout the event there will be tbs and Geocoins to be swapped. I have set up a cache in the green for the event but have had it published now, so you can get that before, during or after the event if you so please.
The event has a costume theme so if possible dress up for the occasion. I will pick the best three costumed teams who will win a ready to go regular size cache for first place, a ready to go micro for second place and a bag of sweets for third place.
In case you do not know what a flash mob is it is an event that goes on for a short period of time. These events usually last for 15 minutes but ive allowed extra time for the prize giving. I wanted to make an event but for my first i decided a quick event would be simpler. If this event is a success my next will be longer in duration.
Timeline of events will be something like this:
7.35pm: I will arrive at the green with all the gear including a small table for trading trackables.
7.40pm: You all arrive and sign the guestbook and place trackables on the table
7.45pm: I pick the best dressed then give out the three prizes
7.50pm: Trackable trading and quick chat then group picture before we disperse into the night
8.00pm: Pick up your stuff and get outa there!
