(Devil) Ducky Dead End 4 - The Real One Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team-Ducky: Sadly, Team-Ducky is forced to archive this cache. The 2nd part was washed away by the river. For the last two months, there has been a large, unintentional pond between parts 1 and 2. As part of the SITMC First Aid event, Team-Ducky and NelsonCM10 visited the cache with the intention of replacing the 2nd part. Not only was the final part inaccessible, but water had erased the pieces of the puzzle in the first cache. We have removed the remaining parts of this cache and are archiving it. When we find a more suitable place (and a more suitable container), we will bring it back.

Geocache Description:

Another in the Ducky Dead End series. (This time with the correct coordinates, even!) The first part is located a the posted coordinates. The second part is within walking distance.

Team-Ducky's first puzzle cache!
(So puzzling, it even confused us at first...)
Team-Ducky's first multi-cache!
(In more ways than one... sigh.)

This cache is in honor of our good friends, and fellow Cachers of a Feather, the Devil Duckies Peter and Judy. This cache is in their Devil Ducky Demesne.

When we started goecaching, we were new to the hobby and new to the area. We started discovering these little devil duckies all over the place. Being somewhat ducky-focused, we started picking them up. Eventually, we saw the Devil Duckies in a log and contacted them. We met for dinner and they became our first friends in the area.

The cache contains all of the Devil Ducky swag we have collected over the past year.

Please take swag as you desire, but don't remove notes, log, or pens from the caches.

Note: While there is a trail between the two parts of this cache, it is barely maintained and little used. You are likely to encounter mud, small puddles, thorny branches at ankle level, and, depending on the time of year, a runoff stream or plants as high as your shoulders. Dress and plan accordingly. (It isn't a hard hike or a long one, but we don't want people to be unpleasantly surprised.)

Good Luck and Have a Ducky Day.
