What should be a nice easy cache near the Midway Bridge on the Orongorongo Track.
As the name suggests the Midway Bridge is about halfway between the Catchpool Car park and the Orongorongo River. The track is now nicely benched and graded with most river crossings bridged. In its former guise as the Five Mile Track’ it was notoriously known as the ‘canal of mud’. The walk should take you about 40 minutes each way at an easy pace. Feel free to use the hints to help locate the cache as GPS accuracy maybe a bit wayward here. Note that the gates to the park are open 8am to 6pm in winter and 8am to 8pm in summer Please NOTE that you must sign the logbook for each individual cacher, Finds logged not corrosponding with the logbook may be deleted. Please take some time before leaving to ensure that the cache is re hidden exactly as you found it.
