Tonopah and Tidewater Railroad Bed, between Shoshone and Zabriske Station Stops
A road no longer taken, a train that no longer runs, a river that cannot be seen, a mirage in the desert.
A very easy to find cache, but beware of snakes and scorpions.
Cache placed in honor of the former Tonopah and Tidewater railroad.
Enjoy the view: Look for Tecopa peak due south, the resting springs range to the east, the Amargosa river runs through this long valley almost entirely hidden, but revealed by the river of green to the east.
Significant geological feature nearby are the mud hills, that represent the lake bottom of the former Lake Tecopa.
Ammo box cache originally contained pencils, erasers, caribiner key rings, and standard log book with pen.
