National Treasure Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi Etrex Pirate
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

You may email me at via the link to my profile on the log. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GCxxxx number, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

11/17/04 Coordinates for first cache were changed slightly. The second was moved to the place of correct coordinates. The main cache was correct. Accuracy was 14 feet today.

National Treasure will give you the coordinates to the first clue box. (Altiods tin). You will find an ancient Egyptian puzzle that must be solved to get the coordinates to the second clue box. You will also find the first of two parts that lead to the location of the National Treasure.

Once you arrive at the second clue box combine the second part of the National Treasure clue with the first to reveal the location of the National Treasure.

The National Treasure is in a one gallon nut jar.

It is just over 3 1/2 miles round trip but mostly on pavement. Bring good shoes and enough water for the trip and enjoy the scenery. The puzzles should be fairly easy to solve. They were designed to be fun but not too hard since you have made the effort to find the cache and not get stuck trying to decode them. Bring a pen with you to write the answers on the clue sheets. Most importantly have fun.

To get to the starting point use the Templin Highway exit from the 5 freeway. Take old Route 99 north about 6 miles until it ends there is parking at the end of the road. You will have to walk or bike from there.

A National Forest Adventure Pass is required to park in this area.
