Carson Creek Rendezvous, August 21, 2004 from 9:00 AM until NoonCome for a fun-filled morning of caching at the Lower Carson Creek Trailhead in the Glory Hole Recreation Area at New Melones Lake.This event is a part of the interpretive program at New Melones and will be led by the Chief Ranger, a.k.a. Reptilmann. The event is being advertised as a “learn to GeoCache” event. So I need a few of the local experienced cachers to attend and help any newcomers to see what this GeoCaching thing is all about. If you are willing, folks new to GeoCaching will be teamed up with experienced cachers. Leave a log to let me know you are coming.I will be hiding a number of caches in the area especially for the event. I will have printed handouts for the cache coordinates. Also, don’t forget to download the waypoints of the existing caches in the Glory Hole Recreation Area. Bring something to put in a new cache that I will hide somewhere on the New Melones project after the event.Hope to see you there to have some fun and help promote GeoCaching!!
