A Night Event!

It's all about the Nines!!!!




In 2005 the FlyinV's of South Jersey Geocaching did the first event to commemorate 05-05-05. That year the states of Georgia, California and Idaho along with New Jersey marked that notable day for the first time. That event took hold and was repeated in 6-06-06 (7 states), in 07-07-07 (4 states) and 08-08-08 (15 worldwide locations).

Every year New Jersey has been one of those states hosting this event, and I thought it was time for Long Island to have one of its own. This year we join Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington. It has even gone global and Australia, Canada, The Czech Republic, Japan, Portugal, and the United Kingdom has joined in. It is known as a world multi-event!

In the present economy and the beginning of September where many are returning from vacation or starting a new school year and it may be difficult to get a day off. Now you have no excuse! This evening event will be from 6:06 pm until 9:09 pm as we celebrate this once in a lifetime combination of month day and year.

(Special 090909 Event coins! We will have our own Long Island version of the ‘Cloud Nine’ geocoin available at the event!!!)
