My wife and I recently started hiking regulary at Mount Madonna. We really enjoy hiking up the Merry-go Round Trail. We park at the Sprig Recreation Area. There are no fees for parking. We fell in love with a beautiful area about 30 minutes up the trail, near a very large rock. When you stand next to the rock, you can do a 360 and see God's beautiful creation. I enjoy geocaching and have always wanted to hide one. This is my first one. This cache is not far from that spot. It is several feet off the main path, but not through any poison ivy. Please have a pen handy. Please replace the log book and the cahce to where you found it.
Mount Madonna is open year-round from 8 a.m. until sunset. All non-campers must leave the park one half hour after sunset.
