The Escapees RV Club was founded on July 4, 1978, by Joe and Kay Peterson. It was started through Kay's column in Woodall's Trailer Travel magazine. She asked the question that, if a club was started to help people enjoy full-time RVing, would anyone be interested in joining? Today there are over 32,000 member-families.
Escapees BOF (Birds of a Feather) groups are comprised of people who share a common interest. In order to belong to a BOF, one must be a member in good standing of the Escapees RV Club.
In March of 2009 while staying at North Ranch I founded the GeoCache BOF. This Cache is placed on the first anniversary of its founding. The BOF has grown to 250 members in just one year. There is safe parking on both sides of Highway 89. If you need to cross the Highway please be careful -- it is a high speed road.
