Geocache Description:

This is a two part multi-cache located in the northern side of Callahan State Park.

NOTE: The whole "X Marks the Spot" theme for this cache is, at least for now, temporarily not the case. The "X" portion of the cache, which was two large fallen trees forming an "X" shape, has fallen victim to Mother Nature's wrath. The new coordinates listed for this cache now lead to a different location for the first micro cache, which is a white pill bottle with a red top. Hopefully this will be much more waterproof. For those saying the coordinates to the final cache are inaccurate, I've tested them out twice now and my GPS indicates they are dead-on.
'X' Marks the Spot is a two-part multi-cache located in the northern region of Callahan State Park in Marlborough, MA. This is a beautifully maintained park, with hundreds of acres of trails, meadows and a few ponds.

Those of you who are familiar with the other cache in Callahan Park (not left by us) should think twice about trying to get to this cache site from the southern entrance of the park. The trails in this area are easy to navigate, but beware they are not as well marked as the southern side.

The 'X' in the title of this cache pertains to the initial cache site. The location provided here is purposely not at the exact location of the first cache. When you reach this destination, think of the cache title as a hint as to where to look. You're looking for a white/clear film container under a rock, under the 'X'. Inside the container is coordinates to the second and last cache location.

The final container is quite larger than the average cache container (from my experience). I threw a few goodies, a camera and a notepad inside for now (I wish I had buttons to leave).

Park at the north entrance of the park at N42°20.332' W71°29.983. You shouldn't have trouble finding a spot.
