Canadian Bacon (Henry) is one of the few
people on the planet rarely found in a bad mood. He's always ready
with a smile and his laugh is contagious. Being the first elected
president of the BCGA, his dedication to the association and
geocaching in general has never wavered since he first started in
2003. He continues to volunteer his services despite a hectic
schedule raising a young family and working full time at his day
job. And it doesn't stop there. He always makes himself
available to help uncertain newbies with any questions and concerns
and is known to invite newbies on group caching day
trips.
Without a doubt, Henry makes the best
burgers on the planet (the secret ingredient being ground pork).
And he's the only geocacher known to fell a large tree, albeit
accidentally, while geocaching. He smashed his body into it
while going down a steep trail.
This is a tribute cache to Canadian Bacon in
recognition for all the years of service to the BCGA, for helping
out with the website with the geocaching community and to
acknowledge his accomplishment of reaching 4000 cache
finds.
