Geocache Description:

What could be pokier than not plodding at all?
Whether you knit, crochet, spin, whatever, or just want to learn, come hang out with us and wind down after the work week.
New cachers are especially welcome!

I have learned there is a Silvertips game at 7:30 p.m. the same night as our event, so this will likely alter parking possibilities, so please plan accordingly. Arriving early, perhaps carpooling with someone are some suggestions. Otherwise, please plan to have a little walk to Zippys.
At the Pokey Plodders Potluck Picnic, there was an interest in knitting, both to learn and to gain assistance in finishing an already-begun project. Well, here is the best part! It's not ONLY knitting, but can also include crochet, needlepoint or whatever you are interested in. Well, maybe THIS is the best part. Everyone is invited and that means you men cachers out there! I wish I had a picture of the "Men's Corner" that used to display all sorts of needlework projects, hooked rugs, etc. at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe. Believe me, that put a whole new meaning to awesome!! Also invited are any children who are interested. My mother taught me to knit when I was eight years old, and soon after that, a neighbor BOY taught me to crochet!
If you don't already have a project started that you need help with or would simply like to work on, and would like to learn how to knit, please bring a pair of knitting needles in size 7 or 8. I will bring lots of yarn with which to practice so no need to purchase any. Perhaps you have a pattern you need help with to get started. Most of the yarn is worsted weight, so if you are leaning towards crochet, a size G or H would work just fine. With the chill in the air and autumn approaching, scarves are a wonderful beginners project, are quick to make and can adapt to man, woman or child by choice of color and pattern.

This full-of-fun evening will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
at Zippy's Internet Coffee House at 1804 Hewitt Avenue, Everett. If you are coming after work, there are great choices for your tummies and of course, great coffee and other beverages. Parking is on the street but should be lots of it. Location is just west of the Everett Events Centre. Hope to see everyone there!!
