On May 29th 2004 we were caching the park and decided to place a cache near the top of St Josephs summit. So we placed an ammo can near the seismic instruments just north on the summit. But when I got home I felt it was a bad placement, as it would create a cacher's trail through the fragile bushes. So I left it unreported till I could get up there and move it to a better place. Well it’s been moved to another location nearby, still close to the seismic instruments so you may check them out. This location is a few mile from the San Andreas fault. The views up here are great. It’s about 40 feet off the trail but this shouldn’t be a problem. The caches is an ammo can filled with goodies for those who are kids at heart. Take care replacing the cache as it was so it stays secure.
