Geocache Description:

By seeking this or any other cache placed by myself or maintained by me you accept responsibility for your own safety. Caching can be dangerous. Assess the risk for yourself before seeking this cache!.

The cache is named after a pub that was nearby until the area was redeveloped for the pub. In the 1940's and 1950's the Landlord was far better known for his part time job. If you think you know who he was and would like confirmation please email me. A hint "his customers didn't hang around long". But they did drop in! Sorry.The cache is a small 250 ml clear container. The area is very urban so please think carefully befrore leaving TB's. The cache is between what was once a Pub called the Navigation and an all weather pitch on what used to be reservoir for a now non existant branch canal. The all weather pitch was once a school sportsfield which I can honestly say I do not have happy memories about.There is a pub near the cache which Seasider informs me is in the CAMRA guide (to clarify he only said it was in the guide he's not been there yet). I live a couple of minutes walk away and don't drink there, I do however like Real Ale.Please stay away from the small memorial Garden when approaching the Cache. This a memorial to Police Officer Alison Armitage who was reversed over by the car thief she was trying to stop. There is no reason to go near it for caching purposes.
