The property known as Corbyville, is located within the municipal boundary of Belleville, Ontario approximately 4 miles north of the downtown area and 1 mile north of the 401 and Hwy. 37 exchange. Corby Distilleries Limited was established, at this site, in 1859.
Corbyville Now The hamlet of Corbyville is not really a ghost town as it is sometimes described since there are over 700 households here. Corbyville has its own rural post office and elementary school, On Sunday April 5, 2009 the old Corby Distillery burned down. Arson was suspected
Approximately 50 acres were previously development as part of the distillery, however, most of the buildings have since been demolished. The balance of the land was agricultural or open land abutting the river, together with part of the river bed.
