Geocache Description:

This is the fourth of a series of 5 caches which are located near to 5 old pubs in Longwick. There were originally 6 pubs in the village. I suggest parking at the village hall, which is at N 51.44.239 W 000.51.727. You can then make a circular walk around the village stopping to look at all the old pubs, finally ending up back at your car.

The Duke of Wellington is located at N 51.43.940 W 000.51.290 It was a bakery in it's earlier days, but a busy pub right up to 1986 when it was converted to offices. The cache is located just across the road on the opposite pavement. It is not beyond the fence so do not go over there. It is not anywhere near the railway line which runs above. It can be easily and safely be accessed a few steps from the pavement. This cache is a small to medium sized plastic box, with a green lid. scan0004
