Cymer Thingy (Cache and Dash) Traditional Cache
taffhunter: Sadly the cache has disappeared and there is some evidence of damage at the site. Rather than place a new cache there i would rather not take the risk of any further damage being done at this site so have decided to archive the cache.

Cache is located in a layby on the way to the Abbey off the main A470. It can also be found on the cycle route from the Mawddach or by footpath from Dolgellau.
Its in a beautiful part of the Snowdonia national park and well worth the drive to the Abbey and the picnic area further down the road, parking is also free and there is a lovely walk down the side of the river before it goes into the estuary. I wanted to place a bigger cache near to the Abbey itself but did not want to infringe on the rules of placing near to an ancient moument.
We have called it a thingy because, it is a thingy and if anyone can explain what it is then please do so. Cache is located in a small Yellow container. When i placed the cache it was low cloud and raining,and when we tried again after a drive the co-ords where 22ft and then 10ft out so you may want to use the clue and the pic in the spoiler.
Please make sure that you have a Pen with you, container is too small to fit one in. Finally please be careful with geo kiddies, the road is fairly quiet but please take care, stealth will also be required.
