and the hiders have grown to four cacher teams, each comprised of
A Man and His Dog... PRAIRIEPARTNERS has

INDIANA SPIRIT
QUEST #111
”CARTER!"
The Shadow has selected Carter Cemetery,
Steuben Township, Steuben County, for this caching experience. Even
tho you cannot see him, Listen carefully to what THE SHADOW has to
say about this place:
Welcome to Carter
Cemetery. This is a very small, out-of-the-way cemetery. It doesn't
appear to be active. It doesn't seem all that long ago, I could
stand here on the hill and not see any buildings at all. Not so
now. You know, progress and development.
This site has the
distinction of being the location of the grave of a Veteran of the
1812 War, Selah Frink. At least one Civil War Veteran calls it home
as well.
Off road parking is
available when dry. The gravel road is little traveled, so roadside
parking when ground is wet, is probably best. --THE
SHADOW
Thanks, Cranston! This is one of the four
Carter Cemeteries in Indiana, all located in different counties.
This one was established in 1864 and probably started out as a
family plot.
The cache container
startead out as a small camo'd match holder, but now is a
loc-n-loc. BYOP. Park with care. If you find a fallen US
flag, please stick it back in the ground. As always, please be
respectful, and cache in, trash out. Cache On.
