Spotkanie odbedzie sie na polance przy malowniczym zakolu rzeki
Sztoly w Bukownie. Jest tam fajna stroma piaszczysta plaza, miejsce
na ognisko, a dookola las (czesto pelen grzybów i jagód). Bukowno
do tej pory bylo biala plama na mapie skrytek, ale ukrylo sie ;-)
ostatnio wiele nowych, które obecnie sa poddane recenzji i beda
gotowe na zlot :-). Bukowno, miasto zwiazane z górnictwem srebra,
cynku i olowiu, ma bogata historie siegajaca XV w. W XX w. bylo
uzdrowiskiem (sic!) i wciaz zachowaly sie tu wspaniale miejsca na
wypady terenowe. Sa tez pyszne lody tradycyjne, pizzerie, wiele
sklepów (w tym calodobowy oraz tani supermarket czynny do 20:00).
Rzeka Sztola nadaje sie do kajakowania, ale uwaga! ma opinie
najtrudniejszej z niegorskich rzek w poludniowej Polsce.
Preferowany jest pobyt pod namiotem (wlasnym). Nie jest to oficjalny kemping, ale mozna w okolicy
biwakowac na dziko. Brak tutaj toalet (najblizsza
publiczna jest tu: N 50 15.874 E 019 27.643). Wody pitnej nie ma w okolicy. Jesli przywieziesz
butelki, wode pitna dostaniesz ode mnie - czeka Cie tylko spacer
ok. 500 m.
Jesli ktos chcialby nocleg pod dachem, to najlepiej szukac miejsca
w Olkuszu, Slawkowie lub przy trasie A92. W razie klopotow, prosze
o kontakt.

Event zacznie sie o godzinie 18:00 w dniu 28 sierpnia 2010
(sobota) pod podanymi wspólrzednymi a zakonczy w niedziele 29
sierpnia 2010.
PROGRAM:
W ciagu dnia poszukiwanie skrytek (indywidualne lub grupowe),
wieczorem w sobote spotkanie integracyjne (przy ognisku?).
Skrytke informacyjna czynna od
27-29/8/2010 znajdziesz pod tymi wspolrzednymi:

W srodku tego 0,5 l pojeminika znajdowac sie bedzie: logbook
Eventu, telefon kontaktowy do xenotime, aktualny plan imprezy (np.
wspolrzedne pizzeri, gdyby deszczowa pogoda uniemozliwiala
rozpalenie ogniska; plany poszukiwania grupowego uczestnikow). Beda
rowniez wydruki opisow wszystkich skrytek xenotime w okolicy
Bukowna.
Prosze o wpisywanie checi uczestnictwa poprzez log "will
attend". W przypadku przyjazdu z osobami towarzyszacymi, lub
jesli konto GC jest grupowe, prosze podac ilosc osób. Prosze takze
podac planowny termin przyjazdu i wyjazdu jesli to mozliwe.

THE SPOT:
The event will take place by a pictoresque river Sztola in
Bukowno. You will find there a nice steep sandy beach, a place for
a bonfire, and loads of forests around (often full of edible
mushrooms and berries). Until now, Bukowno was a white spot on a
geocaching map, however many new ones have been hidden recently and
are awaiting revision to be ready for the event :-)
Bukowno is a small town (11,000 people) that grew around silver,
zinc and lead mining. Its history starts around 15th century. In
20th century is was a holiday resort (sic!) and many pictoresque
places for excursions are still around. In the town there is a
famous place with delicious traditional icecream, pizza houses, and
many shops (incl. one open 24h a day and a cheap supermarket open
until 20:00). The river Sztola is suitable for kayaking. Bear in
mind, however, that it is considered to be the most difficult river
outside the mountains in the southern Poland.
As for accommodation, staying in your own tent is recommended.
This is not a comercial camping place,
but you can camp around. There are no public restrooms
at the spot - the closest one is at N 50 15.874 E 019 27.643.
You will NOT find drinking water around,
however, if you bring your own bottles, I will provide you with
good tap water - you will have to walk 500 m
though.
If you prefer a proper roof and more comfort, there is a youth
hostel in Slawkow, and several places to stay in Olkusz (incl. a
youth hostel and a hotel), plus several more close to road A92. If
you have trouble planning your accommodation, let me know by
contact form, and we will try to sort things out.
DATE & TIME:
The event will start on 28th August 2010 at 6:00 PM (Saturday)
at listed coordinates and will end on Sunday 29th August 2010.
PROGRAM:
During the day we will look for caches (individually or in
teams), in the evening on Saturday we will meet at a bonfire
(weather permitting).
Information cache will be available
from 27th to 29th August 2010 at
N 50° 15.554 E 019° 27.517
Inside this 0.5 L box you will find the Event logbook, contact
phone number to xenotime, current schedule of the Event (e.g.
coordinates to a pizzeria in case of bad weather; group cache
hunting plans). There will be also print-outs of all geocaches
descriptions by xenotime around Bukowno, so you can update your
hunting list.
Please log "will attend" logs if you want to participate
in this event. If you will come with additional people, please
write how many people are coming with you. Please, also write your
expected date of arrival and departure if possible. Shall you have
