OK, this one's a little more committing than the last
one...
"Moorehouse Pointer"
The cache is attached by a carabiner to a stainless steel ring
at the given coords. The catch is that the ring is 1.5m below the
water line!
No specialist equipment is required for this (you can do it
naked if you want to...) but bear in mind that it's over 200m from
shore and that you'll need to fill in the log when you get there.
So, may I suggest bringing two things that will help you get there
safely:
A floatation device (bodyboard, lifejacket, kayak, tyretube or
similar).
Goggles or a mask of some kind so you can see what you're
doing.
When placed this cache contained a travel slug and a geocoin. Be
EXTRA CAREFUL not to drop these when you open the cache and please
take whatever trackables you find.
There is a small carpark at S 41 06.332, E 174 53.112. This is
the closest point of land to the cache.
So let's if there are any REAL cachers in Wellington!
