The Puzzle: Fy’s family came to visit from the East Coast. They had already seen the usual sites and wanted to visit something other than the Golden Gate Bridge and other popular San Francisco destinations. Poor Fy had to build an extensive two-week itinerary in order to keep them entertained.
The first stop on their tour was Clinton. Next came the Petaluma Adobe, after which they visited the Site of Fort Guijarros. They finished their first week of touring at Mission San Francisco Solano.
In their second week, they started with a trip to see Agua Mansa. Following that, they went a bit out of their way to visit the San Diego Presidio Site, before reaching their final destination of the La Grange Mine.
While they were exhausted by the circuitous route they had taken, Fy and her family were pleased with how much they had seen and learned along the way.
The cache: The cache container is a cylinder containing a few polished stones and a 50 rupees bill for the first-to-find.
There is no need to climb over anything or stretch to reach the cache but you do have to consider how we’ve made it possible for you to reach it. If you see a source of water, you don’t need to go anywhere near it. Be sure to replace the cache carefully.
Parking at the Cache Site: There is no legal parking immediately near the cache. We have seen cars cited for having parked illegally. Legal parking is available at a location found by starting with the puzzle solution and subtracting .071 minutes from its latitude and adding .066 minutes to its longitude. Do not use the posted coordinates to obtain the parking coordinates.
Rating Information: The difficulty rating of 3 is a sum of 2 for the puzzle plus 1 extra star for a somewhat tricky hide (downgraded by 1 because of 3 quick finds).
