Christmas Cache 2003 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Rusty O Junk: Stopped by tonight to check on the cache and GTR101 is right, its wet. Someone must have left it open while caching in the rain because the seal is is perfect and ammo cans with good seals just don't get wet inside.

This one has long since outlived its usefulness as a cache and is now no more than a romp through the weeds with no view, nothing to visit, no interesting journey and no reason to be here other than to feed the bugs.

Thanks to all who visited this cache in the past.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located in a nature preserve with all flat terrain and less than a quarter mile from parking area.

This cache started its life to celebrate Christmas 2003.  I would like to thank each and every one of you, young and old for visiting this cache.   We even had a young lady walking her dog and curious about the tracks followed them to the cache.  She was quite surprised to find the box of gifts in the woods and left a very nice log entry.  I just wish she would come here and log it too.  Wouldn’t that be a perfect ending for the Christmas cache to infect another innocent bystander with this disease we call geocaching.

The Christmas cache has been picked up and replaced with a regular cache in the same location stocked with a new logbook and trade stuff.

Please don't try to cross the canal, the Ice is very unsafe.  You can park at N42  47.778  W73  47.366 and walk up the plowed road most of the way.  From where you leave the park road it's high and dry among the trees.  Please don't block the gate.
