Geocache Description:

Very easy park and grab. However, if they are not out on a call, the firemen love to have kids come in for a visit...

This cache is done as a dedication to all the brave firefighters in the world, and specifically to the Fairview Fire Department. This is to acknowledge their time and dedication to the community: car seat checks for the babies, fire safety education in the schools, and their support of community organizations such as scouting
Thank you to those who come running to help in our time of need.

This cache is a large Rubbermaid container and contains lots of firefighter related goodies – toy firefighters, water guns (imaginary fire hoses), matchbox fire rescue vehicles, 911 magnets, firehouse coloring books, etc. Please try to keep to the theme.

Please note: now that the warmer weather is upon us, animals that were not so active in the colder months - (spiders, snakes, etc.) - will now be active, and they like to hide in the same types of places we hide geocaches

The Maltese Cross is the symbol of protection. It means that the fireman who wears this cross is willing to lay down his life for you just as the crusaders sacrificed their lives for their fellow man so many years ago. The Maltese Cross is a fireman’s badge of honor, signifying that he works in courage – a ladder rung away from death.
