A single-stage traditional cache hidden in Springfield Park in Rowlett.

This cache is a small sports drink bottle with only room for a log book and a few small items for trade. It is not camouflaged, just hidden well. It is not far from the concrete walking path a moderate distance from the parking lot. There are no thorns or poison ivy to contend with, so it's definitely stroller friendly.

Springfield Park is a 117 acre park with a 1.75 mile walking/jogging trail. It also includes ball fields, soccer fields, picnic areas, pavillions, restrooms, playground and fishing in a large pond.

If you decide to ride a bike, make sure you wear a HELMET!

If you have problems retrieving the cache, please email me.

In keeping with our music tradition, I leave you with the lyrics to "Spinning Wheel" by Blood Sweat and Tears.

"What goes up, must come down
Spinng wheel, got to go round
Talkin 'bout your troubles it's a crying sin
Ride a painted pony let the spinning wheel spin.

You got no money, you got no home
Spinning wheel all alone
Talkin 'bout your troubles and you never learn
Ride a painted pony let the spinning wheel spin.

Did you find the directing sign
on the straight and narrow highway
would you mind the reflecting sign
Just let it shine
Within your mind
And show you the colors that are real."

Found on a rainy day, mostly in the wheelchair with Thurple pushing me through the water and mud. There was one place we had to go through that didn't accommodate the chair, but we made it with alot of anticipation. Upon reaching the GZ, we looked around for a while and spotted it rather quickly, altho we didn't know what we were looking at. This one made our day! Worth all the slogging!! It gave a good laugh and was in perfect working condition. It had water in it, and we poured it out. The log was a little damp, but signable, left a million dollar bill, and put back like we found it for the next lucky cacher. Wouldn't recommend for strollers or wheelchairs until the walkway is cleared and lake free on the backside, but this one is one not to be missed. Clever, clever, fun cache. Thanks a million.

Had the privilege of joining my good friend Edubya for his 1000th on this find. As we approached the area, I thought "hmmm that's odd" After a few minutes of Edubya protecting himself from horse apples and spiders we made our way over to gz and sure enough there it was - great cache and thanks for the effort. tn, l-small trade items, sl.
