Event
It is
time again to head outside, and help clean up one of our favorite
areas in
Maine
. Sunday May
3rd, we will meet at the
summit of
Mt.
Agamenticus
, at
10:00AM
. This has been a very successful and fun event
in the past years. After meeting we
will split up and clean up the hiking trails on and around
the
Mt.
A.
area.
Some of the clean-up will also be along the access
road. Wear a good pair of shoes and bring your work gloves. If you
wish to bring trash bags please post it in your will attend log.
The
Mt.
Agamenticus
area is a
beautiful and complex environment. We want to leave as small a
footprint as is possible. So during the
morning meeting we will be advised of some of the rules as to how
we can accomplish this. Again as in the
past Robin will be there to make sure everything goes as
planned.
We expect to be cleaning up till around
1:00PM
and then
have lunch back at the summit. Bring a
picnic basket, and camera to enjoy the beautiful area with your
caching friends, new and old. We will have a TB table where you can
discover coins and trade travel bugs.
Or just sit, relax and trade caching stories.
The
lodge at the summit will NOT be open so there will NOT be any water
available. Please plan ahead and bring what you would like to drink
for water. I will have several gallons of bottled water
available. A port-a-pottie will be set up by Robin at the
parking area.
The event will be held rain or
shine. Please dress accordingly.
