NOTICE: Hasbrough has moved to Oregon, so I have gladly adopted this cache!
Earn your Mardis Gras beads by cachin', not flashin'!
Start at the Good Water Trailhead in Russell Park, Georgetown, Texas. The trail is easy to follow, though the exposed limestone can make the treading treacherous in places. There is no real elevation change. Hunters use the area during hunting season, so be careful during that time. The weather was warm when the cache was originally placed, and there was a 3.5 foot rattlesnake sunning itself on some rocks near the trail - so long pants and boots might be a good idea.
The container has been replaced by a 30 cal ammo can, so hopefully the contents will remain dry inside. I have added new swag, but I am including the listing below to show what HasBrough originally placed in the container. Original contents of this cache included:
bicycle horn
blue BankOne keychain
small silver heart ring
adjustable gold-colored ring with the name Lynn
SpongeBob SquarePants window bobble
13 clear mardis gras beads
4 shiny mardis gras beads
4 buttons (Chuy's and 3 Sluggy Freelance)
sea shell
gold-tone chunky bracelet
rose quartz stone
tiger's eye stone
amethyst crystal
