5/7/08 - Drygulcher has a new owner. This was a fun cache to find and I didn't want to see it disappear so I adopted it. Please take a drive and go visit it. Take the kids and dogs. They will love it. Watch out for dirt bikes and cows! It is great for the day or a quick outing. ADDENDUMS 11/08/07: Eventually, the Feds are going to sell all this BLM land to Washoe County, so they can continue in their endless quest for overdevelopment. Someday, a bunch of McMansions or a shopping center will cover that lonely cache's resting spot. I'm glad I moved to a sparsely-populated place in the Northwest. Also, to those nitpickers: This cache was placed long before the "no burying" rule was in place. Moreover, digging is not required to access its contents. The stash is in a meadow, surrounded by mountains. You can drive to within 100 feet of it, but you'll need to figure out WHICH jeep road to take. Elevation 5735. Pretty out there.
It's about 7 miles from the nearest paved road to the west. I drove out there in a 2WD truck, but you might want 4WD in the winter. The roads have a few bumpy spots and some high-sided curves.
The stash is in an orange 5 gallon Home Depot bucket, buried to the rim next to a rock. I kicked a little dirt over it to boot; please cover it up before you leave.
