Geocache Description:

Senior Project CITO

A CITO event that incoorperates geocaching, litter control, and forest adventure.

As a Senior Project I chose to host a CITO event in the Saint Joe National forest in areas that suffer from litter problems. At the beginning of this event we will meet at the Potlatch Forest Service station parking lot (posted coordinates)between the hours of 9am and 10am, where trash bags will be distributed. At 10am, cachers can go whichever way the like depending on their choice of transportation and will pick up litter. The meadow, known as the Waterhole, is an area that suffers from litter problems. After the area is cleaned up we will ride or walk the trails to pick up trash. We will venture through the trails and meet near Drone Creek road where we will travel as a group to the Ruby Creek trail head and pick up litter from there. All help from cachers is extremely appreciated by both me and the Forest service, come as long as you like and enjoy the forest with me. Please respect the land that we are on when doing this and have a little fun during the event. Also if cachers prefer to use gloves they will have to bring them, as they are not provided for the event. In addition to the CITO efforts, there will be some new caches published in the area
