This cache is located in the historic area near Murray Id. in the Settlers Grove of ancient cedars. If you have the chance make the drive up to Murray and stop in the Sprag Pole bar and museum, and the famous Bedroom Gold Mine bar. On the way up you will see huge piles of rock along the road that are tailings from the old gold mining days.
The hike up to the cache is about 8 tenths of a mile of good trail along a nice stream and beautiful giant cedar trees. The last fifty or sixty yards is on the hillside with limited satelite coverage, hence the difficulty rating. The best I could get at the cache was about 40 feet accuracy so take the spoiler pics just in case.
Take your time on this easy walk down a gravel trail and wooden bridges to admire these giant trees that have been here for thousands of years. The view alone is worth the walk, but I stocked the cache pretty well to make it worthwhile.
