Geocache Description:

Martin's 95 is a traditional cache located next to the church I attended as a child, in Kremlin, Montana. I don't like the “chuck a film canister under a bush” hides, so I tried to make this one a little more interesting. Even so, this should be a pretty easy find for experienced cachers.

I attended grade school in Kremlin and spent my high school summers working at the small service station at the north end of town. There's not much to do in Kremlin anymore, but I like to remember busier days here – a Sunday school full of kids, Christmas plays at the church and the school, the school playground full of kids, riding the fire engine down the freshly-paved main street for the Montana Centennial celebration parade, trick-or-treating with friends, walking to the grocery store for a snack after school/before basketball practice, and on-and-on...

I had the idea to place this cache and name it “Martin's 95” as a reference to Martin Luther's posting of his “Ninety Five Theses” to the door of the All Saints' Church in 1517. Unfortunately, there was no suitable hide location near one of the doors (but I still liked the name)... That's the only hint you're going to get, as I want this one to be just a little bit of a challenge. In the unlikely event you're having troubles, email me, and I'll help you out.

Martin's 95 is placed with permission of the Kremlin Lutheran Church, but most of the congregation probably don't know it's here. Church is only held here once or twice a month, so Sunday morning caching might be hit or miss. Not much traffic on Main Street, so muggles shouldn't be too much of a problem. This cache is a little bit of a departure from our other hides, in that there isn't room for swag. Just enough room for the log – so please bring your own scribblin' stick. We put a little time into the cache container, and it would be a hassle to repair or replace it, so please be gentle. If there's any damage, please let me know when you log online.

The original portion of the Kremlin Lutheran Church building was originally constructed in Havre, Montana, where it was the "St Paul's Lutheran Church." It was moved to its current location in the early 1950s. I'm attaching a couple pictures I took of the inside of the church a few years ago, during the Kremlin Centennial celebration.
