Geocache Description:

E. pauciflora stands for Eucalyptus pauciflora, or more commonly known as Snow Gum.
Located 1100 meters along a most magnificent walk, this easy cache holds information on the Snow gum itself and the usual goodies. Please ensure you show care whilst visiting this wonderful and unique habitat.

A wonderful picnic spot to stop at end enjoy a short 1.2 kilometre loop through a snow gum stand claiming to hold the largest Snow gums in Australia. Although no single tree seems to hold the record we did find a massive example. It was easily 40m in height and the bole could have been the 1.48 meters across as stipulated on the information signs.

Even though the trail would be suitable for Nanna or the kiddies if you think the 1.2 kilometres is a stretch then a convenient picnic table is located across the road from the carpark. Considering camping- Winter holds the prize of snow and year round nights are below 10c.

The cache itself is large and if signal is good should be easily found. I have taken care to not hide the cache where regular visitors would come across it and have taken into consideration the sensitivity of the location – clue: Not in a snow gum.

Stand back and let the kids enjoy a quick search for the cache while you enjoy the surrounding magnificence.
