Geocache Description:

This cache was intended to be placed at the Centenary celebrations of the opening of the Denison Canal but, as it was not possible to get ashore at the event,it is now placed to watch the waterways in general.

Add this one to your list for Bruny Island and head further north past "North Bruny". It is at the end of a gentle stroll along the sand with a magnificent view of water in most directions. Note Captain Kelly's homestead on the low hill. On the Storm Bay side of this headland there is a Crown Reserve but access has been all but prevented by the placing of unfriendly notices and a fence which seems a lot closer to low water than high.

The cache is a plastic screwtop container and at time of placing contained:

log book, pen, stash note
underwater swimmer
mini wrench
glow in dark frog
pirate
assorted sea creatures
geocaching tattoo
